Comment: I was stationed at Comiso AS, Sicily 487th TMMS from January 1986 until January 1987.
This is an extremely interesting page and really brings back a lot of old memories.
Thanks R C for the effort you have put forth in bringing those memories back again.

Back when I went to school at D.M. for GLCM school in 1985 I even wrote a poem about
the GLCM Ranger. Perhaps I will run across it again in the near future and will send it on to you.

Comment: Neat site. I was looking for a scanned image of the 487th Tactical Missle Wing patch and stumbled across your pages. I was at Comiso from '85 to '86. I was the MWR Operations NCO. Very fond memories, particularily of Marina di Ragusa. Like being stationed at a resort! I remember cleaning up the community center after you guys had been in the field, what a mess, mud everywhere. I didn

Comment: MSgt, USAF Ret. I was stationed at Greenham Common from 1987 - 1991. I was there for the first of the Soviet INF treaty inspections. I was in the 501st SPS. I was the Law Enforcement Superintendent for the last 2 years I was there. Spent a lot of time dealing with peace activists. I really 'enjoyed' TACEVAL's, NSI's, and Local Salty Nation Exercises. I live at the Compton Bassett housing area 37 miles from the base. Put a lot of miles on the car.

Comment: Mike, what a great site. I was a GLCMite during Ready Merlin (with Mike Hernandez) and help open up Comiso in 84, yes I was the drunk who jumped from the 2nd floor (twice). Re-Entered GLCM at the school house in 88 and closed it down. Reunited with GLCM team members during Desert Storm (Phil Smith, Uncle Doug Livingston) during Scathe Mean, what an Op. GLCM was the best. Drop me a line if chewed the turf with you.

Comment: Just ran across your page while surfing the net. Brings back alot of memories, fun and not so fun. Was stationed with the 38th MDS/SFS and finaly GDS at Wueschhiem, FRG from 89-late 90. Went on a few dispersals, alot of sacrifice then, so todays world can be what it is! Will never forget the teamwork, dedication, and leadership. Never experienced anything close to it since. Drop me line sometime if we worked together.
